Advent 2025: Matthew 11:7-15 – Rev’d Felipe Sediles (14th December 2025)

The sermon paints a very different picture of manhood than we see in the modern world. Looking at the examples of John the Baptist, Elijah, and the Apostle Paul, it shows how Scripture commends men that stand firm – tough, independent-minded men who are rooted in divine truth rather than human approval. Ultimately, the rejection of biblical manhood is rebellion against God’s order, and we are called to follow Jesus Christ, who is the epitome of true masculinity, speaking hard truths in love, and redeeming manhood not for self-glory, but for sacrificial service.
