Britain is clearly in a time of great moral decay. But there is no new thing under the sun, and our present condition is remarkably similar to that of Judah in the days of Isaiah. This sermon looks at the degeneracy of Judah, the devastating consequences, and the root cause – apostasy from God. It then draws parallels with modern Britain, concluding that only a return to God through the death and resurrection of Christ can save us from our seemingly terminal decline. National renewal will not come through quick fixes, but through individuals, families and churches repenting to God, worshipping sincerely, cultivating gratitude, getting a multi-generational vision, and building a genuinely beautiful culture as an alternative to the culture we have been swimming in for decades.
